Elize: Hello!! Oh and I have to add that I’m so sorry for the delay, we’ve been so busy and now finally we have lots of time for interviews! 🙂

  1. Let us begin with you, music and Amaranthe, how do you feel going back into the studio for another album after 8 years of the bands life?.

E: It’s always a great feeling starting to work on a new album! It’s one of the things I enjoy the most, besides playing shows of course, to create and write new songs.

  1. After the new album comes out the hectic life begins, is there any chance you guys can come to South America, and would Chile be included?.

E: We always talk and talk and talk about making a South American tour! I visited your country with Kamelot few years back, and I absolutely loved it. Touring South America is very special, and one of the most country’s to tour in because you have to fly everywhere with the band and the crew, it’s not like anywhere else where you can take the train or a tour bus between the gigs. But sure, at some point we will be able to pull it off, at least that’s what we dream of and aiming for!.

  1. Thanks to facebook “live streaming” we were able to see you on the studio recording vocals which got us closer to the studio life and you as well. How was that process on getting more intimate with your fans and let it them into a big part of your world?.

E: Oh, that was so much fun! I thought it would be nice to actually let people see how it works, and kind of what’s going on there. 🙂 I enjoyed the comments streaming in, and the response was great.

  1. Let us retake on the Amaranthe album “Breaking Point” which has 2 sides, what’s the reason behind this album instead on jumping right away into the creation of the new one?.

E: Oh, that was to release the B sides of songs that we wrote but did not give out yet. At that time we were touring like crazy so the opportunity to hide in the studio wouldn’t have been possible.

  1. Now we will go ahead into a topic a little bit personal. We want to know more about you, so Do you have any plans or projects aside from Amaranthe?.

E: At the moment I’m very dedicated to Amaranthe and I love the flow we got, and so far it doesn’t seem to stop. 🙂 But at some point I am excited to show off my songs that been waiting in the drawer since I was 12 years old. They might need some refreshment and rearrangement. I wish I could find partners to work with outside the band. But it’s hard of course to find likeminded co-writers, I mean like I found in Olof, and also Jake. I think my taste in music is a bit different.

  1. Do you have in mind any solo projects? If that’s the case, what kind of music (Style/scenery) would we see you in? and whom would you like to have featured songs with and why would you choose them?.

E: Yeah, I wish I could answer that question. I have no idea yet. I want people from the moon. Haha, kidding, but I’d like to find new talents, people not yet known. Because I know there’s a lot of talent out there, who needs to be promoted more than the already known musicians and artists.

  1. We had the chance to have you as a guest in Chile for the Kamelot tour on 2011 next to Fabio Lione and Simone Simons. How was sharing the stage with them?. Do you have any memories of the Chilean crowd?.

E: Gah, haha it’s already 5 years ago! I can’t believe it! Again, that was an amazing tour. I remember they were fantastic! I love the energy and how emotional the people are there. You bring a very unique and exotic vibe that is very hard to explain to others who have not yet experienced the crowd in Chile. I loved it! 🙂

  1. We have seen your work on two metal opera albums with TimoTolkki, you were even featured on a video. How did you came to be a part of the guests he selected for his new project?, How was the experience of working with him and being part of the video as well?.

E: Oh, Timo is a very special creature and his music is extraordinary. His work for the metal scene  is historical and I was very honored to work with him. It was a nice experience and when it comes to the creative mind and our sight on music we really connected. He taught me a lot, and hopefully I inspired him back. The widow was filmed with PatricUllaeus in one day, it was very fun filming with Timo. He made me laugh a lot, his humor is great, so I also will remember it forever as a time filled with laughter.

  1. Being a multidisciplinary artist, has it been hard to keep a stable private life/love life?. Considering you not only have Amaranthe’s work but also you are involved in other projects, tours, etc.

E: Yes, of course, I’ve been on the road a lot, but I’ve always had support from home. And I guess I’m very spoiled for that. A lot of people wouldn’t be able to stand me being all the time somewhere else.

  1. It was great to see you last holydays on Raskasta Joulua shows, especially seeing you on stage with Tony Kakko, you guys often referred to each other as siblings. How is this relationship evolved through working together?. Do you guys have any plans of doing more songs together outside Raskasta Joulua’s work?, would you like to be featured in a Sonata Arctica song as well?

E: I’d love that!! We haven’t talked about it. We have gotten more close friends over the years since we have spent the Christmases working together and traveling a lot. I love being around him both of and on stage because he brings me a lot of positive energy. Haha, well the sibling thing comes from when we did work together outside of RaskastaJoulua on a gameplay called Karmaflow! We sing duets on a few songs there, you have to check it out! The characters we play there are so cute, and we are siblings. There is a great story around that game, you can read all about it on karmaflowgame.com I love Tony’s voice, I’ve listened a lot to Sonata Arctica, thats another great band from Finland that inspired many young musicians around the world.
